Mad Dog

Law of the Jungle
and Bridgehead

Mad Dog > Locations > Severn Valley Railway >

Scenes from two other series three Survivors episodes were filmed on the Severn Valley Railway in 1977. Law of the Jungle, written by Martin Worth, immediately preceded Mad Dog, and Bridgehead, also penned by Martin Worth, followed straight after.

Close to the line is the concrete bridge seen early on in Law of the Jungle. This is accessible on foot, from the Country Park Halt between Hampton Loade and Highley. This is a 'request' stop, so be sure to inform the train guard in plenty of time when wishing to alight here.

Highley Station appears in thee separate sequences in Bridgehead — first, as Charles makes his way back to the Walters farm on foot; second, as Jenny and Charles search for Edith Walter's two sons; and, thirdly, as the setting for Charles' first experimental 'Friday Market'.
